Milestone Timer

Milestone Timer is designed to respect your privacy by default. Your countdown events live on your device. We don't run servers, we don't sell data, and we don't require an account. This policy explains exactly what we do and don't collect.

1. Information We Collect

Milestone Timer collects the minimum information necessary to provide the service.

Information you provide directly:

• The names, dates, emojis, and settings of countdown events you create
• Your notification preferences (reminder times and which events receive reminders)
• Your in-app display preferences (color themes, notification time)

All of the above is stored exclusively on your device using Apple's built-in storage frameworks. It is never transmitted to our servers because we do not operate any servers.

Information collected automatically:

• App preferences stored in standard iOS system storage (e.g., your chosen notification time)

2. iCloud Sync

If you have iCloud enabled on your device, your milestone data may be synced across your personal Apple devices via Apple's CloudKit service. This sync is tied to your personal Apple ID and is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy. Outsource Wisely LLC does not have access to data stored in your personal iCloud account.

You can disable iCloud sync at any time in your device's Settings → [Your Name] → iCloud → Milestone Timer.

3. Push Notifications

Milestone Timer uses local notifications only — reminders are scheduled and delivered entirely on your device without passing through any external server. No notification content (event names, dates, or settings) is ever transmitted to Outsource Wisely LLC or any third party.

You can disable notifications at any time in your device's Settings → Notifications → Milestone Timer, or within the app itself.

4. In-App Purchases and Subscriptions

Milestone Timer offers optional premium subscriptions. All payment processing is handled entirely by Apple's App Store. We use RevenueCat, a third-party service, to manage and verify subscription status on your device.

5. Data We Do Not Collect

To be explicit, Milestone Timer does not collect:

• Your name, email address, or any contact information
• Your location
• Your contacts, photos, or any other personal media (unless you explicitly add a custom photo to an event, which stays on your device)
• Browsing history or cross-app activity
• Advertising identifiers
• Crash reports or analytics (beyond what Apple may collect via iOS itself)

6. Data Retention and Deletion

Because your data is stored on your device and in your personal iCloud account, you are in complete control. To delete your data:

• Delete individual events — swipe left on any event in the app and tap Delete
• Delete all app data — delete Milestone Timer from your device. All locally stored data is removed immediately.
• Delete iCloud data — go to Settings → [Your Name] → iCloud → Manage Account Storage → delete Milestone Timer data

We have no copies of your event data and therefore cannot fulfill data deletion requests on your behalf — there is simply nothing on our end to delete.

7. Children's Privacy

Milestone Timer is rated 4+ on the App Store and is suitable for all ages. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or the applicable age in your jurisdiction). Because we do not collect personal information from any users, no special handling is required.

8. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights including access to, correction of, or deletion of personal data we hold about you. As described in this policy, we do not hold personal data about you on our systems. For subscription-related data held by RevenueCat or Apple, please refer to their respective privacy policies and contact options.

9. Changes to This Policy

If we make material changes to this privacy policy, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this page periodically. Continued use of Milestone Timer after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
